ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alicia Marchetti (born October 19, 1998) is a San Diego–based poet and the author of She Was Here, and Her Eyes Were Brown.

She writes for the woman she hopes to share her life with.

Alicia is a Certified Peer Support Specialist who works with adolescents in recovery. She also volunteers with the Crisis Text Line, corresponds with and supports incarcerated individuals, and is a member of Narcotics Anonymous. She uses her lived experience to help others find hope and work toward recovery.

She maintains a close relationship with God and is deeply family-oriented.

When she’s not working, she enjoys being with her dog, playing pool and chess, creating artwork, picking up litter, and renting Airbnbs in charming places. She hopes to visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam one day.
